Among the princesses we discussed in class, I think Merida is a best role-model for girls  for following reasons.
 First, she is more independent then other princesses. Snow white, cinderella, and other princesses depend on men, and think that they would be hapy if they meet prince. But Merida is different. She doesn not depend and men. she figures out things by her self. But look at other princesses. They always depend on men. This can lead to making girls think that they should depend on men, and then they will be happy like other princesses. This is the biggest difference between Merida and other princesses.
 Second,  Merida has differences than other princesses. Merida is not pretty as other princesses. In fact, she is a  bit ugly. If all princesses are pretty, girls might think that only pretty people can be kind and live a happy life. Another difference is her hobby. Merida's hobby is to go outside and play, shooting arows and practicing riding horses, while other princesses are like sawing things, and picking flower. So she has different thinkings about having a hobby.
 For these reasons, I think Merida is the most positive role model for girls.

Response Essay- Merrida

Have you ever wanted to change your fate? If you have, you will understand this movie well. What is the movie name? It's called , BRAVE. To summerize the main story, there is a Princess called Merrida. Unlike other princess, like cinderella, or snow white, she loves to go outside and shoot arrows. But her mother, Elinor was different from her. She wanted merida to be a perfect princess, and told Merrida to be one. Because Merrida and Elinor was so different, they fought often. Although they fought, Elinor loved Merrida. Elinor wanted Merrida to choose one of the oldest princes from all over the world, and marry him. But Merrida didn't want to get married. She was so angry that she ran away. Then, she found an old house. Inside, there was a witch, and Merrida asked the witch to change her mother. Witch gives her a piece of cake. Merrida gave it to her mother, and her mother changes into a bear. Merrida thought her father will kill the bear. So her mother and she ran away. Merrida finds the old house, but instead of a witch, there was a message. 'The spell becomes permanent after 2 days.' Soon after they left witch's house, Merrida finds the answer. Mend the tapestry that she had cut. On her way to the castle, her father sees his wife, and tries to kill her. But luckly, she gets away, and lives. It was almost 2nd sunrise. She mends the tapestry, but prince mor'du, who was also turned into a bear. attcked them. But a stone fell over and hit mor'du. on the 2nd sunrise, sunlights shown over the tapestry. Then, her mother was human again. This is the brief summary about BRAVE. I think my characteristic and personality is similar to Merrida for 2 reasons. First, I like going outside like Merrida. Going outside makes me feel good. Also, I like to play withy arrows. My father made one for me just like Merrida's father did. The things that I don't like merrida is not trying. If I was Merrida, I would go to Elinor and tell why I don't want to get married. Also, I would listen to others. I would listen to why she wanted me to get married. If merrida fix this, I'm sure she will become a better princess. The thing I didn't mention in this essay is about prince mor'du. He is a selfish prince who wanted to rule himself rather than deviding with other 3 princes. The result is that he turned into a bear. So selfishness brings up unhappiness. I don't think BRAVE is a worst movie, but I don't like it. It is too unrealistic. But this movie makes us learn about fate. I wish I can watch this movie again.

	BAD POINTS:do not listen to others
	OTHER:Good at archery. Fight with her mom.

	DAILY ACTIVITIES: Although she is known throughout her village for her beauty, she is quite ignorant of her own appearance, but ironically greatly aware that her fellow citizens think of her as "odd" and "peculiar". Belle pays very little attention to her appearance, unlike the vain Gaston, who only loves her because she is "the most beautiful girl in town".
	GOOD POINTS: Belle has gained a significant amount of intelligence over the years due to her love of books, providing her with a wide vocabulary, active imagination, and open mind. She is very confident and outspoken in her opinions, and seldom likes being told what to do. Unlike most characters in the film, Belle isn't concerned about her's or other's appearances, and is able to look past how people appear and into their hearts.
	BAD POINTS: At first, she frequently dreams about a life of adventure and romance, not realizing that sometimes adventures might take a turn for the worst.
	OTHER: Belle is stunningly beautiful. She has long, brown hair, most often tied back in a low ponytail, hazel eyes, rosy cheeks, and a sculpted figure. She marries with the Beast at the last.

 I watched a TED video about Adora Svitak. What comes to your mind when you think of a word 'childish'? Immature, or short-thinking right? Many people think adults can not learn from children.  But Adora thought differently. She thought that adults children can learn from each What is my opinion? I agree with her opinion. I think adults and children should learn from each others.
 First, adults lived longer than children, so they know much more than children do.  So adults can teach children many knowledges that children don't know. If adults teach children, children can have wider knowledge. Adults are good teachers to students.
 Second, there are many things that adults forget while they grow up. As people become older, and become adults, they forget what they used to do, and what they knew. For example, playing. When children becomes students, they rather read books than going outside and play. They become mature and stop theirselves from playing.
 For these reasons, if adults nd children learn from each other, then both will learn many things.

Hello. I want to introduce 30 day challenge to you. Have you ever heard of that before? Well, I'm going to try that during this camp. There are many things to add in my life, but also more things to subtract.
 My first challenge is to use the stairs often. Of course, using elevator is much more faster, and easier forme, but using elevator is just a short to gain weight. In order to be healthy, I will have to use stairs. For the first step, I will make a checklist to see if I used stairs often. Second, I will tell my friends to remind me of the 30day chellenge. The Last step will be to punish my self if I didn't use the stairs
 Second challenge is to clean my room neately. If you clean, you get green card. So my first step will be to remind myself of the green card. Second, I will ask PAs if the room is clean. Lastly, I will ask my friends if the room is clean or not.
 If I folllow these steps, I will be able to success 30 day chellenge.

Park Si Yoon

 Hello. My name is Siyoon Park. Before writting other things on my blog, I want to introduce you about my self. There are nothing that's interesting or special about me... so I'll just write who I am, and anything bout me.
 First, I have 2 younger brother. They are very annoying but sometimes nice. The elder one is in the second grade, whild the younger one attends pre school. He is not old enough to go to school. He is only 7 years old. They are good brothers to me.
 Second, I hate science, but I like social studies. Most students say that science is the best subject while social studies is the worst, because in science, they do experiment, while you have to memorize social studies. I agree with that, but social studies is very fun.
 Lastly,  I like excercising. When I excercise, I can feel my body getting stronger. If you want to live up to old age, you should be strong. I especially like basketball. But I haven't played it for years. My skill is very rusty now...
 I told you, there is nothing interesting about me. But I hope you learned something about me.
